Senior Rostering Coordinator – Bluebird Care Limerick Limerick City Office Competitive rates of pay 40 Hours We are seeking a dedicated Senior Rostering Coordinator to assist us with Rostering /Admin duties and Rostering Team in our offices at Bluebird Care, Limerick. You will be responsible for Liaising with our Care Team, Office Staff, Management, Clients, and their Families. You will be Coordinating Rosters for our Clients and Staff. You will ensure that all field-based care staff are appropriately allocated to clients so that care is delivered on time, safely and in line with clients wishes (as agreed in their care and support plan). This is a dynamic role that will require a good background in Client/Customer Care and Office Administration skills. Qualities The successful applicant will display a compassionate nature, (knowledge of health care practices is not essential but an advantage) and provide exceptional customer service. Essential qualities of a Senior Rostering Coordinator must include the ability to effectively communicate with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. They Must poses excellent skills in One Touch, having used it to a proficient level, to be able to assist any inquiries from Coordinating staff. Responsibilities Contact Carers with updates to their Rosters, using our IT system One Touch Health to allocate care staff to provide care and support to Clients. Change and Modify Rosters, updating new clients to the system. Accept, allocate and process new referrals for care and support promptly. Liaise with external agencies and monitor the allocation of care staff to maximise efficiency. Managing Staff Annual Leave and Staff Cover Assigning care workers to clients whilst working to required healthcare standards Covering and processing all short-term changes to care packages Assist the care team with developing and delivering high quality homecare services and to make improvements where necessary. Treat Customers with empathy and respect and conduct oneself in a professional manner. Requirements Qualification in Office Administration and Computer Skills is desirable. A Minimum 2 years' experience in Rostering/ Care coordination in the health care industry ideally (but not essential) or home care service environment or of leading and managing staff . Must have experience using One Touch English Fluency, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical thinking and the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently. Care will be provided in the client’s home, and it is crucial that all services are rendered in a manner that is safe, compassionate, and caring. Duties include - Providing personal care, toileting, meal preparation, moving and transferring, Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and high-dependency care, supervising medication, and addressing light housework/basic shopping needs. - Adhering to the client’s Care Plan, which outlines the individual nature of services. - Facilitating social interactions and activities, offering companionship. - Promoting independence. - Observing, listening to, and engaging with clients to foster positive relationships with them and their families. - Being punctual and managing time efficiently. - Upholding the confidentiality policy. - Communicating any changes or concerns regarding client needs/care to the office. - Documenting and reporting any incidents. - Complying with Health & Safety regulations. Minimum Qualifications and Experience - Completion of at least 2 modules: QQI Care Skills and QQI Care of the Older Person. - A minimum of one year's experience in a healthcare setting. - Possession of a clean Garda Vetting Certificate and, if applicable, an International Police Clearance Certificate. - Willingness to undergo a medical examination to obtain a medical fitness certificate for work. - Holding a driver’s license, owning transport, and being proficient in using Google Maps to locate client homes. - Ability to work independently or as part of a team. - Reliability, dedication, diligence, and trustworthiness. A good understanding of GDPR, especially its importance in working with the elderly. - Proficiency in English, both verbal and written. - Eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland.
