As a Healthcare Assistant in Edenderry, you’ll be supported every step of the way by experienced Clinical Nurse Managers who offer hands-on guidance and 24/7 support.

Your Role

You'll provide essential care to clients in their own homes, supporting them to live independently, safely, and with dignity.


Key responsibilities:

  • Personal care (washing, dressing, mobility, toileting)
  • Meal preparation and light household duties
  • Medication prompting and supervision
  • Companionship and emotional support
  • Supporting clients with Dementia, Alzheimer’s, or high-dependency needs
  • Following individual Care Plans and documenting care provided
  • Communicating any concerns to the care management team


What You’ll Need:


  • QQI Level 5 (with Care Skills and Care of the Older Person modules completed)
  • At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Garda Vetting (and International Police Clearance if applicable)
  • Fit-to-work certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Full driver’s licence and your own transport
  • Comfortable using Google Maps for navigation
  • Strong English communication skills
  • A caring, dependable, and respectful nature
  • Full eligibility to work in Ireland
