Role of the Care Assistant A Care Assistant’s primary purpose is to deliver personal care and assistance to a client in their own home. Qualities and Characteristics: The essential qualities of a Care Assistant include having genuine compassion for others, and the ability to consistently demonstrate kindness, empathy and patience. Being a good communicator, with the ability to build a rapport with others is also key! Employment Types Available: Full and part time hours are available, dependent on your availability. This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse or Social Care Worker who is passionate about delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care in the community. You will be supported by an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager , who will act as your mentor as you grow into the role. Role Overview As a Community Care Supervisor, you will play a key part in ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care to our customers. Your responsibilities will include: Core Duties Conduct comprehensive customer risk assessments and develop person‑centred care plans . Provide support, supervision, and guidance to Care Staff. Monitor and uphold care quality standards across community services. Support and manage the performance and practice of Care Assistants. Offer professional expertise to enhance existing care arrangements. Work closely with the Clinical Nurse Manager and Director of Care . Key Responsibilities Deliver excellent, evidence‑based care aligned with individual care plans. Mentor and support community-based Care Staff, including conducting supervision visits in clients’ homes. Provide direct client support when required. (This should be very minimal) Promote and maintain best practice standards in care and customer welfare. Qualifications & Experience Registered Nurse (NMBI) or Social Care Worker (CORU) – essential . Minimum 2 years post‑registration experience ; community care experience is an advantage. Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. Demonstrated kindness, respect, and compassion in care delivery. IT proficiency required. Full driving licence essential.
