What is Home Care?

As a Home Care Assistant, you will travel between clients' homes, providing personalised support that enables individuals to remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own communities.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal care (washing, dressing, grooming and toileting)
• Supporting clients with mobility and safe transfers
• Preparing meals and assisting with feeding where required
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Supporting medication prompts and reminders
• Carrying out light household duties including laundry and tidying
• Promoting client independence, dignity and choice
• Reporting any concerns or changes in client wellbeing promptly
• Accurately completing care records and visit notes

You Must Have

• Good spoken and written English
• Previous work experience in Ireland
• Availability to work weekends
• A caring, compassionate and professional attitude
• Must be living in Dublin North.
• QQI Level 5 Care Skills and Care of the Older Person (or willing to complete)

OR

• A minimum of 1 year's Healthcare Assistant experience and willingness to complete the required QQI modules
