Advanced Healthcare Assistant – Full-Time Role

Essential Requiremets
- QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support, or an Equivalent recognised qualification.
- · Full Availability including weekends
- · Minimum 3 years' professional experience in home care, community care, residential care, or a healthcare setting
- · Full Valid EU/EEA Licence.
- · Access to own Car
- · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- · Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong clinical awareness
- · Reliability, attendance and Punctuality

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care tailored to individual client needs.
- Support clients with personal care, mobility, nutrition, medication prompting, and daily living activities.
- Promote clients' independence, dignity, and wellbeing in their own homes.
- Monitor, record, and report changes in clients' physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with care managers, nurses, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure a safe environment by following infection prevention, PPE, and moving & handling procedures.
- Support clients with complex care needs and escalate concerns when appropriate.
- Mentor and support new carers through shadowing, induction, and sharing best practice.
- Assist with competency observations, feedback, and identifying training needs.
- Promote positive communication between carers and the office team.
- Support new client starts and uphold company policies, values, and care standards.
