Essential Requiremets

• QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support, or an Equivalent recognised qualification.
• · Full Availability including weekends
• · Minimum 3 years' professional experience in home care, community care, residential care, or a healthcare setting
• · Full Valid EU/EEA Licence.
• · Access to own Car
• · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• · Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong clinical awareness
• · Reliability, attendance and Punctuality

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care tailored to individual client needs.
• Support clients with personal care, mobility, nutrition, medication prompting, and daily living activities.
• Promote clients' independence, dignity, and wellbeing in their own homes.
• Monitor, record, and report changes in clients' physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with care managers, nurses, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure a safe environment by following infection prevention, PPE, and moving & handling procedures.
• Support clients with complex care needs and escalate concerns when appropriate.
• Mentor and support new carers through shadowing, induction, and sharing best practice.
• Assist with competency observations, feedback, and identifying training needs.
• Promote positive communication between carers and the office team.
• Support new client starts and uphold company policies, values, and care standards.
