Currently seeking Part-time Afternoon to Night shift nurses in Bluebird Care Dublin West.

Job Title: Paediatric/RGN Nurse – Home Support

Role Details:

• Shift Length: 7 hours

• Shift Time: 15:00 – 22:00

• Days per Week: 1–2 shifts available (Wednesday and Thursday)

• Location: Lucan, Co. Dublin (accessible via public transport)

Role of Registered General Nurse:

To provide safe, quality, person-centred care to a Child within their home environment. The successful candidate will be part of a Nurse-led care team providing clinical care in a home setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in Paediatric care and be able to work flexible hours, including day and night shifts.

Responsibilities include…

• Provide nursing care to a child - Diagnosis of Spina Bifida
• Gastrostomy tube feeds via feeding pump
• Requires bowel washouts
• Intermittent catheter care
• Management of PEG fees
• Pressure area care
• Medication Management
• Care of a child with a disability
• Manage enteral feeding and medication
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Provide play and family support
• Provide excellent evidence-based nursing care, implementing all aspects of care plans based on the needs identified.
• Transfers by hoist
• Prioritise the needs and comfort of the client.
• Promote abilities, independence, and safeguard the client’s interests at all times
• Work closely in partnership with family members and the clinical team
• Communicate effectively with the client, family, clinical team, and MDT, reporting on the client’s clinical needs as required.
• Maintain accurate and professional clinical note

Qualifications & Experience

• Current registration on the live register of NMBI
• RGN/RCN trained
• Paediatric nursing experience is desirable
• Previous experience in home care is an advantage, full training and support provided
