Registered Nurse (Home Care Setting - Part-Time or Full-Time Hours Available)


Location: Working in the Home of a Client in Balbriggan. Bus network close to the house, and the closest bus stop is 6 minutes’ walk away, and the train station is a 20-minute walk away.


Benefits:

  • Monday - Saturday: €35 per hour
  • Sunday: €50 per hour
  • Bank Holidays: €70 per hour


Hours: Minimum 8 hour shifts, (11pm - 7am)

Availability: Monday to Friday Nights (8hr Shifts)


Job Type: Part-time/Full-time, Permanent

An exciting opportunity is now available for a Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join our nurse-led care team at Bluebird Care Meath


We are looking for a committed and compassionate nurse with experience to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to an Child in a home care setting. 13 year old boy with diagnosis of Duplication Chromosome 15, Moderate Intellectual Disability, Epilepsy, Asthma, and sleep Apnoea and requires nocturnal BIPAP.



Requirements

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMBI registration (live register)
  • Experience in Paediatric care setting is desirable
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, client-centred care
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professionalism, confidentiality, and excellent report-writing skills


Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, person-centred nursing care in the client’s home
  • Nurses must demonstrate that they have the desired competencies to care for the specific child for example;
  • Medication Management
  • Seizure management
  • Care of child with disability
  • Care of a child requiring BIPAP and Oxygen monitoring
  • Support clinical decision-making and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Liaise with GPs, discharge coordinators, and community teams
  • Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and clinical documentation

Qualifications & Experience

  • Current registration on the live register of NMBI
  • RGN/RCN trained
  • Paediatric nursing experience is desirable
  • Previous experience in home care is an advantage, full training and support provided
