We are seeking a Social Care Worker Lead for a house in Drogheda


This is a senior role guiding a team in providing holistic care, support, and advocacy , ensuring smooth daily operations, implementing care plans, maintaining standards, and driving professional development, requiring leadership skills, relevant qualifications (Level 7/8 in Social Care), and experience. You will act as a bridge between frontline staff and management, fostering a positive, therapeutic environment while adhering to legislation and best practices. 


Key Responsibilities


  • Team Leadership: Supervising and guiding social care workers, ensuring effective teamwork.
  • Direct Care: Providing hands-on support, protection, and advocacy for service users.
  • Operational Management: Overseeing daily routines, household activities, and facility upkeep.
  • Care Planning: Contributing to and implementing individualised care plans (e.g., child-centred, therapeutic models).
  • Professional Development: Organising and participating in training, ensuring standards are met.
  • Advocacy: Championing the rights and wellbeing of those in their care.
  • Compliance: Ensuring adherence to relevant legislation, standards (like New Directions), and policies. 


Requirements

  • Education: Level 7 or 8 Degree in Social Care or Applied Social Studies.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Social Care Worker, often with demonstrated leadership or staff management experience (e.g., 1-2 years post-qualification).
  • Skills: Strong communication, leadership, person-centred approach, problem-solving, and administrative skills.Full Driver’s Licence required .
  • Registration: Registration with CORU (in Ireland) is required.
