Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assisting clients with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
  • Supporting clients with mobility and transfers
  • Preparing meals and supporting with feeding if required
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Supporting medication prompts/reminders
  • Carrying out light household duties (tidying, laundry, etc.)
  • Promoting client independence and dignity at all times
  • Reporting concerns or changes in health to the office promptly
  • Accurately recording visit notes and care updates


You must have:

  • Good spoken and written English is essential
  • Previous work experience in Ireland is essential
  • Flexibility to work every second weekend.
  • Evening and weekend availability (preferred)
  • 2 QQI Level 5 modules (Care Skills/Healthcare Support and Care of the Older Person)

OR

  • 1+ year of HCA experience and a willingness to complete the modules.
