Healthcare Assistants – Edgeworthstown, Ballymahon, Lanesborough & Surrounding Areas
Pay: From €13.60 per hour + paid travel time
Hours: Flexible shifts, Monday to Sunday, 8am–10pm
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Bluebird Care is hiring Healthcare Assistants to provide high-quality home care across Edgeworthstown, Ballymahon, Lanesborough, and surrounding areas in Longford. Guided by our Clinical Leads in 25 offices nationwide, you’ll receive excellent training and support to deliver safe, compassionate care.

Duties
- Providing personal care, toileting, meal preparation, moving and transferring
- Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and high-dependency care
- Medication prompting & light housework/basic shopping
- Companionship and encouraging independence
- Following individual Care Plans
- Reporting and documentation
- Promoting independence and positive client relationships
- Adhering to confidentiality and Health & Safety policies
Requirements
- QQI Care Skills & Care of the Older Person or minimum 1 year’s healthcare experience
- Full driver’s licence & own transport
- Reliable, caring, and professional
- Good English (spoken & written)
- Eligible to work in Ireland
- International Police Clearance (if applicable)
- Medical fitness certificate
