What is Home Care?

As a home care provider, you will travel between clients’ residences to deliver personalized support, ensuring each individual receives the care they need in the comfort of their own home

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assisting clients with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
• Supporting clients with mobility and transfers
• Preparing meals and supporting with feeding if required
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Supporting medication prompts/reminders
• Carrying out light household duties (tidying, laundry, etc.)
• Promoting client independence and dignity at all times
• Reporting concerns or changes in health to the office promptly
• Accurately recording visit notes and care updates

You must have either:

•  2 QQI Level 5 modules (Care Skills/Healthcare Support and Care of the Older Person)

OR

• 1+ year of HCA experience and a willingness to complete the modules – we’ll provide them FREE!
• Good spoken and written English is essential
