Role Overview:

Assist clients with all facets of daily living in their own homes, ensuring all care is safe, compassionate, and professional.

Duties Include:

  • Personal care, toileting, meal preparation, moving/transferring, Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and high-dependency care
  • Prompting medication and light housework/basic shopping
  • Following individual Care Plans
  • Observing, listening, and engaging with clients and their families
  • Being punctual and managing time efficiently
  • Upholding confidentiality
  • Reporting any changes or concerns regarding client needs
  • Documenting incidents and complying with Health & Safety regulations


Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completion of at least 2 modules: QQI Care Skills and QQI Care of the Older Person, or one year’s experience in a healthcare setting
  • International Police Clearance Certificate (if applicable)
  • Willingness to undergo a medical examination
  • Full driver’s license and own transport is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
  • Eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland
