This is a home care role – You will be visiting and supporting clients in their own homes across Meath

What is Home Care?

As a Home Care Assistant, you’ll support people in their own homes, helping them stay independent and live with dignity in their community.

You are not based in a hospital or nursing home – you travel from home to home within your local area.

Pay & Benefits:

• Up to €15.00/hour for QQI qualified and experienced staff
• Up to €17.00/hour on Sundays
• Double Pay on Bank Holidays

Responsibilities:

• Personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
• Meal preparation and feeding support
• Companionship and emotional support
• Light household tasks (tidying, laundry, etc.)
• Supporting mobility and transfers
• Following and recording care plans accurately
• Promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing

Requirements:

We welcome both new and experienced carers who meet one of the following:

QQI Level 5 Modules:

• Care Skills/Healthcare Support
• Care of the Older Person

OR

• 1+ year of care experience and a willingness to complete the two modules (which Bluebird Care provides FREE of charge)
• Good spoken and written English
• A full, Irish, driving licence and access to a vehicle is required.
• Must have legal right to work in Ireland – sponsorship is not available
