As a Health Care Assistant in Tullamore, you’ll be supported every step of the way by experienced Clinical Nurse Managers, with hands-on guidance and 24/7 clinical support whenever you need it.

Your Role


You’ll support clients in their own homes, helping them to live independently, safely, and with dignity.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Personal care (washing, dressing, mobility, toileting)
  • Meal preparation and light household duties
  • Medication prompting and supervision
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Supporting clients with Dementia, Alzheimer’s, and high-dependency needs
  • Following individual Care Plans and recording care provided
  • Reporting any concerns to the care management team


What You’ll Need


  • QQI Level 5 (Care Skills & Care of the Older Person completed)
  • Minimum 1 year’s experience in a healthcare setting
  • Garda Vetting (and International Police Clearance if applicable)
  • Fit-to-work certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Full driver’s licence and access to your own transport
  • Comfortable using Google Maps for navigation
  • Good English communication skills
  • A caring, dependable, and respectful approach
  • Full eligibility to work in Ireland
