Sean Davey
Sean has owned and managed Bluebird Care Sligo & Mayo since its opening in 2009. Sean has overseen the business going from strength to strength over that time, despite challenges such as recession, a global pandemic and workforce shortages. Sean manages a team of qualified nurses, social care workers and office staff to ensure that all of our clients receive the highest quality service and that our care team receive the support they need. Sean, a former Senior County football player, will often be found pitch side coaching his local underage GAA team in his spare time.
Lisa Carroll
Lisa is a qualified Social Care Worker having received her BA(Hons) in Social Care Practice from ATU (Sligo) in 2019. Lisa began her career in Bluebird Care in 2016, working throughout her studies as a Healthcare Assistant and PA and joining the office team full time in 2021. As Bluebird Care Sligo Mayo has diversified over recent years, to adapt to a social care model of care delivery in many settings, Lisa’s expertise has been invaluable. Lisa continuously reviews the quality and compliance of our service, to ensure our customers receive the best service. ‘My role gives me the opportunity to provide practical support to clients by listening to their needs and wants. This ensures that clients are empowered to achieve full lives, both within their homes and within society. I love my job as I have fantastic managerial support which has helped me develop as a person. I love the fact that each day is different, it is sometimes challenging but always rewarding. "
Sarah Roughan
Sarah has a BA degree in health promotion from ATU (Sligo) giving her great insight into the importance of nutrition, wellbeing and behaviour in everyday life. Sarahs role is to carry out client assessments and develop personalised care plans, ensuring that each clients individual needs are met through the clients active participation in the process. Sarah continuously reviews the quality of this service to ensure our clients get the support they need. Sarah is the main point of contact for our Sligo and North Mayo staff, supervising and offering training needs when required. Sarah is also our certified ‘Crisis intervention’’ trainer.
Laura Fleming
Laura graduated as an Intellectual Disability Nurse in 2021 and worked throughout day centres and residential units caring for adults with a moderate to severe intellectual disability and specialising in PEG care, epilepsy and Behaviours of concern. She has since completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Respiratory Care Skills for people with an intellectual Disability in WIT and most recently a first class Honors in a Master's of Science in Applied Leadership and Management in Healthcare from ATU Mayo. Laura began working as Clinical Lead with Bluebird Sligo/Mayo in July 2024. Laura is currently undertaking a Postgraduate certificate in Health Promotion and Wellness Practice from ATU Sligo online while enjoying her day to day work schedule in Bluebird meeting nurses, carers and clients.
