Christina Phelan – Area Operations Manager
Christina is a qualified General Nurse, firstly starting work in the North East region and then in 2017 began working in Bluebird Care Dublin West and Meath. With years of experience in the field of home care and community nursing, combined with a focus and a passion for helping people especially the most vulnerable in society. Christina was promoted to Area Operations Manager for both our Dublin West and Meath offices with overall responsibility in delivering the required clinical care in both regions. She manages and works closely with our Care Supervisors, Care Coordinators, Clinical Nurse Managers and recruitment teams to ensure that the highest quality of care is delivered to our customers and ensuring our care staff have a safe and enjoyable working environment. Christina is always proactively engaging with staff and customers to achieve and deliver excellence, maximizing Bluebird Care delivery.

Danielle Ashe – Clinical Nurse Manager
Danielle is a dedicated nursing professional with over 14 years of diverse experience, spanning both acute and community care settings within the HSE and private sector. After completing her postgraduate degree in Public Health Nursing, she discovered my true passion for community care, where she has been able to make a meaningful impact on the lives of clients. Currently, Danielle manages complex care packages, ensuring that our clients receive the highest quality of care tailored to their individual needs. Danielle takes pride in supporting and mentoring other nurses and healthcare assistants within the team. Her focus is on maintaining best practices and, most importantly, promoting a client-centred approach in all aspects of care provided by Bluebird Care. Danielle is committed to enhancing the well-being of our clients and fostering a collaborative, supportive environment for our staff.

Helen Inglis – Care Coordinator
Helen began her journey with Bluebird Care Meath in 2022 as a Health Care Assistant, where she discovered a passion for caring for people in the community. Since joining the team, Helen has grown through hands-on community practice and gained invaluable experience, contributing to high-quality in-home care. In 2024, Helen transitioned to the role of Care Coordinator, a progression that enables her to continue making positive changes in the community each day. She coordinates our care team to ensure our clients receive dependable, compassionate support in their own homes. Helen is dedicated to maintaining strong continuity of care and works closely with both clients and carers to align services with individual needs and goals. Building trusting, respectful relationships with clients and carers is of utmost importance to Helen. Her collaborative approach, attention to detail, and commitment to clear communication help ensure peace of mind for families and reliability for the care team.

Sinead Callan – Care Coordinator
Sinead has over six years of Care Coordination experience delivering high-quality home-based care. Sinead works daily focusing on coordinating client and carer schedules alike whilst ensuring a person-centred care approach. Sinead’s role centres on ensuring continuity of care, planning and coordinating services, and acting as a dependable point of contact for clients, families, and care team members. Sinead is passionate about Bluebird Care’s mission to provide comprehensive, compassionate care in the home. Being part of a team that supports individuals to remain in familiar surroundings — where they feel secure and safe —drives her commitment to excellence. Sinead believes in empowering clients and families with clear information, respectful communication, and a reliable service every day.

Nicola Leavy – Care Supervisor
Nicola's journey at Bluebird Care Meath is a testament to her dedication to the field of care. First joining as a Healthcare Assistant in 2016, she quickly developed a deep passion for helping others. After gaining valuable experience, she returned in January 2023 with new qualifications as a Social Care Worker and stepped into the vital role of Care Supervisor within the Clinical Team. In her current position, Nicola takes pride in meeting new customers and their families to assess individual needs and create tailored care plans that truly resonate with their circumstances. Her commitment to making a positive difference in people's lives is evident in her approach. Additionally, Nicola plays a crucial role in supporting her healthcare staff team by providing training, supervision, and guidance. Her enthusiasm for her work and her ability to foster a supportive and collaborative environment make her an invaluable asset to the Bluebird Care team. She not only enjoys her responsibilities but also cherishes the connections formed while working alongside her colleagues and the families she serves.

Joann Mc Cormack – Care Supervisor
Joann brings a wealth of experience to her role as a Care Supervisor with Bluebird Care in Meath. Having spent 12 fulfilling years with Bluebird Care Galway, she transitioned from hospitality to homecare 15 years ago, demonstrating her strong commitment to providing compassionate care. In her current role, Joann collaborates closely with her team to ensure that care staff are well-supported and equipped to deliver exceptional services to clients. Her responsibilities include assessing new clients and developing tailored, person-centred care plans, which are essential for maintaining the highest quality of care on a daily basis. Joann plays a crucial role in shaping the care experience for both staff and clients, ensuring that every individual's needs are met with dignity and respect.

Danielle Dowdall – Recruitment Manager
Danielle, the Recruitment Manager for Bluebird Care Meath and Dublin West, has been an integral part of the company since 2021. With a Bachelor of Business from Technological University Dublin, she found her calling in recruitment during her studies, realizing it aligned perfectly with her career aspirations. Before stepping into recruitment, Danielle accumulated 12 years of experience in the hospitality industry, where she cultivated her passion for caring for others. This interest was further deepened by personal experiences, including caring for family members and being inspired by her father’s long career as a carer. In her current role, Danielle is responsible for recruiting new carers and guiding them through the onboarding process, ensuring they are well-prepared to embark on their journey with Bluebird Care. She thrives on the daily interactions with potential new carers, finding great fulfilment in connecting people and supporting them as they begin their journey in the caregiving field. “I really enjoy working at Bluebird Care because I get to interact with potential new carers every day. The opportunity to bring people together and support them as they start their journey in care is very rewarding,” Danielle shares, reflecting her dedication to her role and the mission of care.
