Meet our team of care professionals

Greg Darcy

Greg Darcy is the Director of Bluebird Care

Caiti Lynch
Care Supervisor

After finishing secondary school, I completed health care courses in Pre nursing, Community & Health and Pre paramedics. My friends and family always thought I would do something with animals as I am a big animal lover however, while doing these courses, they led me into doing work experience in nursing homes and day centres and I knew I would like a career working with older people. In April of 2019 I started working as a health care assistant with Bluebird Care and it helped me practice my skills I developed during my college courses. Throughout my time as a healthcare assistant, Bluebird Care have offered extra support and knowledge by doing monthly policies and procedures and online courses that would give the carers up to date information about best practice and I have learned so much from working here!

Sandra Kane
Care Supervisor

“I worked in a factory for 17 years and decided that I wanted to try something new and give myself a new challenge. Outside of work I volunteer for a voluntary ambulance corps and as part of my training with them I completed training in “Home Nursing”. This lead me In 2018 to apply to Bluebird Care Dublin South-East and Wicklow to work as a health care assistant.

From the first day I loved every minute getting to meet so many people with different stories. It is the most rewarding job anyone could do. It’s such a privilege to get to know the clients. They teach me so much about myself as a person and I love the 1:1 care. In 2020 I was given the opportunity to become Care Supervisor. This role involves being out on the road doing supervisions with carers and mentoring new and older carers. I get to meet new clients, carry out assessments and visit our current clients to check in and see how they are. My job also involves working in the office, carrying out various administration work, dealing with day-to-day queries and guiding the carers who have questions about their care calls.  I have recently completed my supervisory management course and am involved in delivering the induction course to new carers.

I love working with bluebird care Dublin South-East and Wicklow as no two days are ever the same. It can be challenging sometimes but I enjoy every minute of it.”
