Nicki Roche is the Care Manager for Bluebird Care Galway, she says about her job “I have personal experience from a young age of seeing how important support is to an individual & a family. This had a huge impact on my life & since then I have always felt compelled to help & support other people.
I qualified in 2011 with an Honour Degree in Social Care Practice from Athlone Institute of Technology.
I had worked with young persons in Residential Care & with Students in the Access & Disability services. I joined Bluebird Care in 2017 as a Social Care Practitioner as I wanted to work with people in the community.
I thoroughly enjoy my job. It is deeply rewarding to see the positive impact of supporting clients in the community & the dedicated staff who provide the care.
My current job in Bluebird Care is very busy and dynamic but it’s also a highly rewarding role. It is a role with a lot of responsibility & I am dedicated to doing my very best for each client in our care & for every staff member. I am driven by my passion for wanting the best for people & this pushes me to do my best.
I love interacting with our clients and listening to their amazing life stories & adventures. I love the satisfaction of supporting a client or staff member with something whether it be small or big, and seeing the difference it makes. I love the comrade between all the staff & commitment to deliver the best care we can. I feel truly blessed to the Care Manager for Bluebird Care in Galway”.
