Meet our team of care professionals

Sarah O'Riordan
Director

Sarah joined Bluebird Care in January 2018. In 2011 she graduated from University College Cork with a Bachelor of Commerece with German and in 2012 she completed her Masters of Arts in International Relations in Dublin City University. Having come from a Recruitment background, Sarah asssisted with the recruitment for both Cork City and North Cork.

Bluebird Care North Cork opened a new office in Mallow in December 2021 which Sarah overseas the running of.

 

Helen Healy
Clinicial Nurse Manager

Helen Healy joined Bluebird North Cork in May 2021 as a Clinical Nurse Manager.

Since qualifying as an RNID in 1991 Helen has worked in all areas of Intellectual Disability. The last twenty years were spent working with St Joseph’s Foundation in Charleville. Her roles there were Residential Co-Ordinator and then finishing up in the Human Resource deptartment. During her career she continued studying, completed her Bachelor of Nursing Studies in DCU, Diploma in Health Management in University of Limerick and Train the Trainer.

Outside out of work Helen enjoys yoga, running and reading. She is also involved in the Local Meals and Wheels and the GAA club.

Donna Sweeney

Donna is a registered Nurse in Intellectual Disability, graduating in 2012. Donna worked in care of the older person facilities and completed a HDip in Nursing (Gerontology) in 2015 before joining the team in Bluebird Care in 2017. Donna is the Clinical Nurse Manager and is responsible the clinical care delivery within the setting. She works closely with other members of the team in enabling people to remain in their homes for as long as possible. Donna enjoys working in the community developing and maintaining interpersonal relationships with clients and staff. Person centred care is at the forefront of Donna’s work ethos.
