Meet the team

Bluebird Care Cork is owned and managed by Don O’Riordan since May 2012.  The business has gone from strength to strength over the last ten years. Situated on the South Mall in the heart of the Cork City, Bluebird Care provides Home Care to a wide variety of individuals both old and young with very different requirements in their own homes. 

Don manages a very experienced team of Nurses, Carers and Office Staff ensuring that Bluebird Care provides a professional, high quality and reliable service to all its customers. The Customer is at the heart of everything. Bluebird Care is an independently owned company serving the local community 

Don is well-known in Cork’s social, business and sporting circles. He was educated in Christian Brothers College Cork and attended third level at University College Cork graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. He is married to Sally, also his business partner, and has three grown up children.

Donna is a registered Nurse in Intellectual Disability, graduating in 2012. Donna worked in care of the older person facilities and completed a HDip in Nursing (Gerontology) in 2015 before joining the team in Bluebird Care in 2017. Donna is the Clinical Nurse Manager and is responsible the clinical care delivery within the setting. She works closely with other members of the team in enabling people to remain in their homes for as long as possible. Donna enjoys working in the community developing and maintaining interpersonal relationships with clients and staff. Person centred care is at the forefront of Donna’s work ethos.

Bluebird Care Cork is owned and managed by Sally Madden since 2012.

Sally in her role as Operations Director manages and oversees a very experienced team of Office Staff, Nurses and health care assistants ensuring Bluebird Care Cork provides high quality, professional and customer friendly care to all its customers – the customer is at the heart of everything we do. Bluebird Care is an independently owned company serving the local community for the last 10 years.

Stephanie Jackson is the office manager for Bluebird Care Cork. She qualified with a BA hons in Applied Social Studies in Social Care in 2011. She has worked with Bluebird Care since 2013 and loves the versatility the role offers. She coordinates and oversees all administrative duties in the office and ensures that the office operates efficiently and smoothly.
