Role of Healthcare Assistant

The Care Assistant’s/ support worker primary role is to deliver personal care and assistance to a client in his/her own home. Care Assistants/ support worker are responsible for the implementation of the requirements of the clients care plan, perform identified care duties and promote client comfort, dignity and wellbeing.

Your responsibilities as a Care Assistant include . . .

Assist the client with Activities of Living

Pay due care and attention to all aspects of care duties carried out on behalf of the client

Provide a high standard of care in compliance with Bluebird Care Policies

Qualifications & Experience

Free QQI training provided

All staff are expected to meet regulatory training standards. Care Assistants must attend and successfully complete initial induction training with Bluebird Care before providing care and support to our customers. During your probation period, and beyond, you will continue to receive on the job and classroom based training to help you fully understand your role. You must be willing to participate in ongoing training so you can continue to give good and safe care and support

Essential qualities of a Care Assistant include having a genuine concern for others, having the ability to demonstrate kindness, compassion and patience.

Employment Type

Full-time and part-time, permanent contracts available

Valid driving license and access to car, however other options considered
