Christina Phelan - Area Operations Manager
Christina is a qualified General Nurse with extensive experience in the field of home care and community nursing. Starting her career in the North East region, she joined Bluebird Care Dublin West and Meath in 2017. Her passion for helping the most vulnerable in society drives her dedication to providing high-quality care. Christina was promoted to Area Operations Manager for both the Dublin West and Meath offices. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing the delivery of clinical care across both regions. Christina works closely with Care Supervisors, Care Coordinators, Clinical Nurse Managers, and recruitment teams to ensure that customers receive exceptional care while also fostering a safe and enjoyable working environment for staff. Christina is committed to proactively engaging with both staff and customers, striving for excellence in care delivery and maximizing the impact of Bluebird Care's services. Through her leadership, she aims to uphold the highest standards and ensure that every individual's needs are met with compassion and professionalism.

Aisling Murray – Care Supervisor
Aisling brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role as Care Supervisor at Bluebird Care Dublin West. With a background in Early Years Education and a specialisation in supporting children with special needs, Aisling has always had a heart for care. Inspired by her own grandmother, who lived with Alzheimer’s, Aisling transitioned to Bluebird Care in 2016 and has since made a remarkable impact on the lives of those she works with. In her journey with Bluebird Care, Aisling advanced from Healthcare Assistant to her current position as Care Supervisor. She is responsible for meeting and assessing new customers and their families, crafting tailored care plans that cater to individual needs and preferences. Aisling's hands-on experience as a care assistant provides her with unique insights into daily life of her team, allowing her to offer meaningful guidance, training, and support to care assistants. Aisling's passion for her work shines through in everything she does. She finds great joy in meeting new people and making a positive difference in their lives, enabling them to remain in the comfort of their own homes. Her love for diversity in her role ensures that no two days are the same — ranging from attending multidisciplinary team meetings to supporting her care team and engaging with clients and their families. As a cherished member of the Bluebird Care family, Aisling takes pride in the high-quality service our care staff provide, a service that our customers truly appreciate. Her commitment to person-centred care makes her an invaluable asset to our team and the community we serve.

Kathleen Brennan – Care Coordinator
Kathleen joined Bluebird Care Dublin West in 2015 as a Healthcare Assistant. In recognition of her strong performance and commitment, she was promoted to the role of Emergency On-Call Operator in 2017, where she continued to demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and a high standard of service delivery. Committed to her professional development, Kathleen subsequently achieved a Level 7 qualification in Social Care. Her appointment to the position of Care Coordinator represents a natural and well-earned progression, underpinned by her extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of the healthcare sector. Throughout her tenure, Kathleen has developed a comprehensive understanding of both client needs and care staff support requirements. She has consistently contributed to the organisation beyond her core responsibilities, including active involvement in team meetings and recruitment open days. Kathleen’s broad experience across multiple roles within the organisation has equipped her with valuable insight into varying levels of care provision, enabling her to make a meaningful contribution to service quality and operational effectiveness.

Samantha Nash – Care Coordinator
With over 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Samantha brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to her role as Care Coordinator. She spent many years working in a nursing home as a Senior Healthcare Assistant, where she developed strong practical skills in client care and team support. She then transitioned into the role of a Care Coordinator, and brings over three years’ experience in this remit. Samantha joining Bluebird Care Dublin West allowed her to expand her expertise, gaining valuable experience in scheduling and coordinating care services. Whilst also ensuring client and care staff schedules align and our person-centred care approach is achieved daily. Samantha also holds a healthcare qualification, further deepening her understanding of the wider care sector. Samantha combines her hands-on care experience with excellent organisational and communication skills to ensure every client receives the highest standard of care and every carer receives adequate support. Samantha has worked with individuals of varying ages and diverse care needs, always with empathy and professionalism at the heart of her work.

Danielle Dowdall – Recruitment Manager
Danielle, the Recruitment Manager for Bluebird Care Meath and Dublin West, has been an integral part of the company since 2021. With a Bachelor of Business from Technological University Dublin, she found her calling in recruitment during her studies, realizing it aligned perfectly with her career aspirations. Before stepping into recruitment, Danielle accumulated 12 years of experience in the hospitality industry, where she cultivated her passion for caring for others. This interest was further deepened by personal experiences, including caring for family members and being inspired by her father’s long career as a carer. In her current role, Danielle is responsible for recruiting new carers and guiding them through the onboarding process, ensuring they are well-prepared to embark on their journey with Bluebird Care. She thrives on the daily interactions with potential new carers, finding great fulfilment in connecting people and supporting them as they begin their journey in the caregiving field. “I really enjoy working at Bluebird Care because I get to interact with potential new carers every day. The opportunity to bring people together and support them as they start their journey in care is very rewarding,” Danielle shares, reflecting her dedication to her role and the mission of care.
