Description The purpose of this role is to support our clients with all aspects of their day-to-day living. You will provide care in the client’s home and it is essential that all services are delivered in a safe, compassionate and caring manner. Following client’s Care Plan which is a guide that provides information on the individual character of services. Supporting social interactions and activities, providing companionship. Encouraging independence. To observe, listen, and engage with clients and maintain positive relationships with the client and the family. Be punctual and manage time effectively. Always observe confidentiality policy. Communicating with the office any changes or concerns in relation to Client needs/care. Reporting and record any incidents. Adhering to Health and Safety regulations. Minimum Qualifications and Experience: Have QQI level 5 in Healthcare with relevant modules (or equivalent) completed or begin commencing-Assistance provided. Have a clean Garda Vetting Cert and International Police Clearance Cert (if applicable). Computer literacy essential. Smart Phone ownership essential. Can work independently and as part of a team. Are reliable, dedicated, diligent and trustworthy. Understand GDPR and how important it is when working with the elderly. Are fluent in English both verbally and written. BBDUSW

This opportunity is open to nurses who are already working in a management position, as well as experienced nurses who are looking to take the next step in their career and develop into a CNM role. The successful candidate will support the delivery of safe, high-quality and person-centred care to clients in their own homes, while providing clinical leadership and support to the care team. About the Role The CNM will provide clinical leadership, oversight and support to the care team, ensuring that services are delivered in accordance with professional standards, HIQA requirements, company policies and best practice. Key Responsibilities Oversee the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred care in clients' homes Provide clinical leadership and support to Healthcare Assistants Complete and oversee assessments, care plans and risk assessment Review clients' care needs and ensure care plans are updated in response to changing needs Provide clinical guidance, supervision and support to care staff Liaise with GPs, Public Health Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, families and other healthcare professionals Monitor the quality and safety of care provided and take appropriate action where concerns are identified Participate in and support clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives and service reviews Management of incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns and clinical issues Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation and record keeping Support staff induction, training, competency assessment and ongoing development Promote compliance with infection prevention and control, medication management, safeguarding and health and safety requirements Ensure services operate in line with HIQA standards and relevant regulatory requirements Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures and clinical governance systems Support the Management team with operational and clinical matters Promote a positive culture of professionalism, accountability, dignity and respect Essential Requirements Registered Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) and a valid NMBI PIN Minimum of 3 years’ post-registration nursing experience Knowledge and understanding of HIQA standards and regulatory requirements relevant to homecare and social care services Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong organisational skills Ability to provide effective clinical leadership and support to care staff Experience in care planning, risk assessment and clinical audits Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care Current eligibility to work in Ireland Full clean driving licence or working towards obtaining a full driving Licence · Desirable Experience Previous Clinical Nurse Manager or nursing management experience is desirable Previous homecare/community nursing experience is desirable but not essential Experience working with people with disabilities is desirable but not essential Experience in safeguarding, incident management and quality improvement Experience supervising, supporting and developing healthcare staff What We Are Looking For: The successful candidate will be a compassionate, clinically competent and confident nurse with strong leadership and communication skills. We are particularly interested in candidates who demonstrate a commitment to quality, safety, clinical governance and continuous improvement, and who can build positive relationships with clients, families and care staff. Previous homecare, disability or managerial experience is an advantage however we are willing to consider nurses with strong clinical experience who are ready to progress into a CNM role.
